Sónar 2016: come to the 23rd edition of the music festival

Sónar is a festival of electronic and experimental music that transforms the atmosphere of Barcelona and its dynamics whenever it starts, and that also defines the city as the epicenter of electronic music in the European continent since it begun in the 1990’s. Furthermore, this music festival stands for one of barcelona’s main important means to promote cultural tourism.

Sónar was founded in Barcelona in 1994 and is divided into two parts: indeed, the music festival is composed of the Sonar de Día (Sónar by Day) and Sónar de Noche (Sónar by Night). Sónar de Día will take place, as it’s the case since the 2013 edition, in the facilities of Fira Barcelona in Montjuïc, Plaza d’Espanya whereas Sónar de Noche will take place at the Fira Gran Via in l’Hospitalet.
