Have you heard about the Night of the Museums in Barcelona? You will have the opportunity to visit over eighty museums and cultural centres in Barcelona for free!
There will be plenty on offer, exhibitions, concerts, poetry, dance, performances, workshops, guided tours, storytelling, food and activities for all ages and the whole family.
The Museum night is an initiative of the Council of Europe which is now in its eleventh edition. The event was born out of International Museum Day in Berlin in 1977, and is celebrated each year in May. This year more than 4 000 museums around the world will open their doors to the public in the evening of 16 May.They will be opened from 19:00 in the evening until 01:00.Barcelona is part of the initiative so do not miss it out! Participate!
Last year’s attendance reached 100 000 people in Barcelona. It doesn’t matter if you are a local or just a tourist , this is a great activity for all and it’s perfect if you want to save your money for other activities. It only happens once a year, so this is a one-shot opportunity you cannot miss!
Moreover, the festival Eat Street, which redefines the concepts of the street food, will participate in the Museum Night with proposal based on local products at affordable prices. Walk around Plaza Glories, the chefs will offer guests revolve around gastronomy Eurasia,while the forum area will concentrate on the culinary styles of America.
